FAQ

Yes. The clinics I practice with—Kaleidoscope Counselling Collective and Bohin Therapy—accept many insurance providers in Ontario. Direct billing is available for some plans, and receipts are provided for reimbursement when needed.

Tip: Check with your provider to confirm if they cover services by a registered social worker.

The right frequency depends on your needs, goals, and capacity. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others prefer biweekly or monthly. We’ll decide together what feels sustainable and supportive for you.

Sliding scale availability is determined by clinic policy. While there may occasionally be a limited number of reduced-fee spots available, this is not guaranteed. If cost is a concern, you’re welcome to reach out to inquire about current availability.

My online booking system shows my current availability. If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to reach out—I may be able to offer additional flexibility outside my posted hours.

While I draw from evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and IFS, therapy with me is never one-size-fits-all. Each modality has its strengths, but I find that a balanced integration is often the most supportive. At the heart of my work is the belief that there are no bad parts of us—only unmet needs waiting to be understood. My role is to create space for self-acceptance and to help reduce shame, always at a pace that feels right for you.

Many therapists are accepting in theory, but my practice intentionally affirms these communities. I understand the unique dynamics, language, and visibility concerns involved. Whether you are curious, just beginning to explore, or have been part of these communities for years, I provide a non-judgmental space to process and grow.

Yes. Most sessions are offered virtually, making it easy to access support from anywhere in Ontario. I also offer in-person sessions on Mondays.
